Made of Light: ALIMA & Simon T.P. Bring Hardstyle Energy Into Emotional Trance

A familiar emotional core meets a noticeably harder edge.

On August 7, 2026, ALIMA & Simon T.P. will release “Made of Light,” a new electronic track that combines melodic trance elements with hardstyle-influenced rhythms, a powerful kick and a more aggressive level of energy than listeners may usually expect from an ALIMA production.

Following “Free With You”, the release continues ALIMA’s new musical chapter while deliberately moving into different stylistic territory.

Starting With a Lead Idea

The creative starting point for “Made of Light” came from Simon T.P., who developed the original idea for the main lead melody.

That initial motif became the foundation for the collaboration.

During the production process, ALIMA adjusted parts of the lead’s notation to make the melody feel more coherent within the finished arrangement. From there, the idea was developed into a complete production with its own structure, atmosphere, rhythm and emotional direction.

The result retains the identity of Simon’s original musical idea while placing it inside a broader production shaped and completed by ALIMA.

This is also why the release is officially credited to ALIMA & Simon T.P. The collaboration began with a specific creative contribution and evolved into a finished track that connects both names.

A Different Side of ALIMA

“Made of Light” is intentionally different from what listeners may normally associate with ALIMA.

While melody and emotion remain at the centre of the production, the track introduces several elements inspired by hardstyle. These influences can be heard particularly clearly in the rhythm, the weight of the kick and the overall intensity of the arrangement.

Instead of relying exclusively on a traditional uplifting trance foundation, “Made of Light” combines emotional melodic sections with a harder and more physical drive.

The contrast is an essential part of the track.

Atmospheric and melodic moments create a sense of openness, while the harder rhythmic sections provide urgency and impact. The production moves between light and pressure, emotion and force, without abandoning the melodic identity at the heart of ALIMA’s music.

For long-time listeners, the release offers a new variation of the ALIMA sound. For new listeners, it presents an entry point that sits somewhere between emotional trance and harder electronic dance music.

More Than Traditional Uplifting Trance

“Made of Light” should not be understood as a conventional uplifting trance track.

It carries elements of trance through its melodic focus, emotional progression and lead-driven arrangement, but its rhythmic character reaches beyond that genre.

The hardstyle influence is not merely a small background detail. It plays a defining role in the energy of the production.

The kick has more weight, the rhythm feels more forceful and the track creates a different kind of tension than many previous ALIMA releases. This makes “Made of Light” one of the more stylistically experimental productions within the current ALIMA catalogue.

The goal was not to completely leave trance behind. Instead, the track explores what can happen when the emotional language of trance meets the physical intensity of harder styles.

Glowing planet surrounded by blue and pink cosmic light trails for Made of Light by ALIMA and Simon T.P.

“Strength does not always sound calm. Hope does not always arrive quietly. Sometimes, it moves with the force of light.”

The Meaning Behind Made of Light

Despite its harder production style, the central idea behind “Made of Light” remains hopeful.

The title represents the belief that people carry something bright within themselves, even during difficult or uncertain moments.

Light can represent hope, strength, connection or the decision to keep moving forward when life becomes challenging.

That message is reflected in the contrast within the music. The emotional elements provide warmth and openness, while the harder rhythm represents pressure, movement and resistance.

Rather than presenting light and darkness as complete opposites, the track allows both to exist together.

Strength does not always sound calm. Hope does not always arrive quietly.

Sometimes it needs energy, pressure and momentum.

The Next Step After Free With You

“Made of Light” follows “Free With You,” released on July 31, 2026 as the opening track of ALIMA’s latest chapter.

The two productions are connected through their emotional approach, but they represent noticeably different sides of the project.

“Free With You” is built around closeness, freedom and emotional connection. “Made of Light” moves into a harder and more energetic space, using stronger rhythmic elements and a more intense production style.

That contrast is intentional.

The current ALIMA chapter is not designed around releasing the same kind of track repeatedly. Each production is intended to explore a different atmosphere while remaining connected through melody, emotion and a recognisable artistic identity.

After producing electronic music since 1998, ALIMA continues to experiment with new tools, styles and production approaches without losing the emotional foundation behind the music.

“Made of Light” demonstrates that development particularly clearly.

From an Idea to a Finished Production

Collaborations do not always begin with two artists working on every part of a track equally.

Sometimes a single musical idea is enough to start an entire production.

In the case of “Made of Light,” Simon T.P.’s original lead idea provided that first spark. ALIMA then modified parts of the melody and developed the surrounding composition, arrangement and production until the track reached its finished form.

This process also reflects the purpose behind ALIMA Music Publishing & Promotion, or AMPP: supporting creative ideas, developing music and creating opportunities for artists to become part of professional releases.

Simon T.P. is the first artist connected to this developing platform, making “Made of Light” an important release not only musically, but also for the wider ALIMA project.

Radio Edit and Extended Version

“Made of Light” will be released in two different versions.

The Radio Edit presents the essential melody, energy and emotional message in a compact format created for streaming platforms, playlists and everyday listening.

The Extended Version gives the arrangement additional room to develop and provides a longer structure for DJs and listeners who prefer the complete progression of the track.

Both versions will be available from August 7, 2026.

An Independent Release With a Harder Edge

The current ALIMA chapter is being developed independently, including the music, artwork, release strategy, website content and visual storytelling surrounding each production.

That independence makes it possible to release a track like “Made of Light” without forcing it into a narrow stylistic category.

It can be emotional without being soft.

It can be melodic without following a traditional uplifting trance structure.

It can use hardstyle-inspired kicks and rhythms without becoming a pure hardstyle production.

This creative freedom is central to the current direction of ALIMA.

Rather than repeating one established formula, each release is intended to reveal another part of the project’s musical identity.
