Free With You: The Story Behind ALIMA’s New Vocal Trance Release

A new chapter begins with emotion, energy and the feeling of being completely yourself. “Free With You” is out now.

There are people who do not limit us, change us or ask us to become someone else. Instead, they give us the feeling that we can finally breathe, let go and be ourselves.

That feeling is at the heart of “Free With You”, the new release by ALIMA.

Blending emotional vocals, uplifting melodies and powerful trance energy, the track marks the beginning of an important new phase. It is the first of four releases arriving across four consecutive weeks – and the opening chapter of a much bigger musical journey.

The Meaning Behind “Free With You”

Despite its title, “Free With You” is not a song about escaping from something.

It is about the kind of freedom that can exist between two people.

Real connection should not feel like a cage. It should create trust, strength and enough space for both people to remain themselves. Sometimes, being close to the right person does not make life feel smaller. It makes the world feel more open.

That emotional contrast became the central idea behind the track.

The lyrics describe a connection in which closeness and freedom are not opposites. They belong together. It is the feeling of no longer having to hide, pretend or hold anything back.

You are not free because you are alone.

You are free because you are understood.

Emotion Meets Mainfloor Trance

Musically, “Free With You” combines the emotional side of vocal trance with the energy needed for a powerful mainfloor production.

The track builds gradually, allowing the vocals and atmosphere to establish the story before the full energy arrives. Melodic elements, driving drums and uplifting synths come together to create a sound that is both personal and designed for larger spaces.

That balance is an important part of the current ALIMA sound.

Trance has always been capable of turning private emotions into something collective. A melody may begin as an individual idea in the studio, but on a dancefloor it can suddenly belong to hundreds or thousands of people at the same time.

“Free With You” was created with exactly that transformation in mind.

It begins with an intimate message and develops into a release of energy.

A New Phase for ALIMA

The release also represents more than a single track.

After producing electronic music since 1998, every new chapter is connected to everything that came before it: the early tracker years, the different artist projects, the long creative break and the return to music production under the name ALIMA.

The tools have changed dramatically over the years. The possibilities available to independent artists have changed as well. But the central motivation remains the same: turning a feeling or an idea into music that can reach someone else.

“Free With You” reflects the current stage of that journey.

It combines years of experience with a modern production process, while remaining focused on the elements that made trance meaningful from the beginning: emotion, melody, anticipation and release.

The goal is not to recreate the past.

It is to carry that emotional foundation into the present.

Radio Edit and Extended Mix

“Free With You” is available in two versions.

The Radio Edit presents the complete emotional and melodic story in a more compact format. It is designed for playlists, everyday listening and listeners discovering the track for the first time.

The Extended Mix gives the arrangement more room to develop. Its longer introduction and outro make it better suited to DJ sets, while the expanded progression allows the energy of the production to unfold more gradually.

Both versions share the same identity, but they serve different moments.

One is made for immediate listening.

The other is made for the journey.

Four Releases in Four Weeks

“Free With You” is also the first release in a four-week ALIMA campaign.

A new track will arrive every Friday:

July 31 – Free With You

August 7 – Made of Light

August 14 – Together

August 21 – Eternal Pulse

Explore the complete ALIMA release catalog and discover the different chapters behind the music. Together, they represent the beginning of a more active and independent release schedule.

Rather than waiting months between individual tracks, this series creates a continuous journey through different sides of the ALIMA sound.

“Free With You” opens that journey with its most personal message: genuine connection should not take away your freedom. It should help you discover it.

An Independent Release

Releasing music independently creates both freedom and responsibility.

Every part of the process matters: the original idea, the production, the final mix, the artwork, the visual identity and the way the music is presented to listeners.

That independence makes it possible to release music according to a personal vision instead of waiting for external decisions. It also allows every track to become part of a larger world rather than existing only as an isolated upload.

The current ALIMA website, visuals and upcoming releases are all part of that same development.

The aim is to build something consistent, honest and sustainable – one release at a time.
